The intelligence that big companies, and even the open-source world, hand out is rented. Almost no one who uses it built it. What is actually being sold in this wave is the middle layer, the agentic one, that aims that rented intelligence at real outcomes: the specific applications and automations a business needs.
That is the missing piece between a general intelligence that can do anything and an automated response that has to be structured, safe, and fitted to the work. The middle layer is where we build.
