Agent Swarms / Council

Yesterday we showed the hands-free demo. This is the one after it, and both deserve the same framing: they are minor features. What they do is improve the quality of the experience.

Hands-free removes the friction between the human and the interface. It brings the interface closer to what people already expect artificial intelligence to feel like — you say the thing, the thing happens, nothing in between.

Two members given a subject, answering each other in turns. You can cut in at any point and they pick up from what you said.

The swarm is the other one. Several agents put in discussion, so you get different answers and unblock ideas that one thread would have settled too early. In future we could coordinate them standing, as an agent team.

For now, one agent building is usually enough to arrive at a solution. Put several together with different directives and we do not yet know exactly what the advantage is. That is the honest state of it — this is an experimental feature.

Where the goal actually is

Our main goal is full company automation. Features like the swarm are additional — they serve the thinking process. They are not the destination.

The shape already exists inside companies. There are different types of employee, and the reason people hold meetings is to consult different types of specialist. So we keep building agents specialised on one matter.

Take a company. You have the accountant, the directors, the managers, the employees. Just these people coming together bring a different perspective — and you can hear which is which:

Each of those answers comes from a different place. Which is why, sometimes, when you do not want to be talking to people, you can pick agents instead, specialise them on the matter, and get the exact type of feedback you would have called a meeting to get — automating the need for the meeting itself.

Experimental, and shown early on purpose.

Enxames de agentes / Conselho

Ontem mostrámos a demo mãos-livres.

O enxame é a outra.
